Robotics 3.4 Curriculum

$49.00$299.00

The course Robotics 3.4 extends the first three courses by adding the programming of EV3 Touch sensor. In the total with using the motors’ encoders data it gives the opportunity to program even the simple maze solving algorithms! Precise rpm calculations and the programming of manipulators are presented in the lessons of this course. Also the movment of the robots on the car-chassis is discussed.

Description

We want to give an opportunity to teachers all around the globe to use robotics in elementary school. And do it in an exciting way!

This 8 lessons was created especially for you and your inquisitive children! You will have a great opportunity to introduce children to the hardware and software secrets of creating robots. During the course, children will learn how to build robots with walking mechanism, convert rotational motion into translational motion, increase force with levers, gear and belt drives, work with motion and tilt sensors. And, of course, they will be able to revive their robots using fascinating programs.

Course include

8

modular lessons

400+

pages of building instructions

25+

minutes of video

40+

tasks & complete programs

basic and extended version

x-ray patterns of the internal structure

lesson time is 120 minutes

best for students 10-14 years

All lesson content provided via Roboriseit Content Viewer software, that supports macOS and Windows 7 - 10 devices.

Robotics 3.4 Curriculum consist of 8 lessons and available in languages:

Speed synchronization.

The understanding of the correspondence between the programmed "power" of the motor and real robot speed is the main goal of this lesson. We propose to calculate and check the "powers" of the front Medium motor and the rear Large motor that are needed to stable movement. Student also must to to keep in mind that: front axle has a gear train, and front and rear axlex has the wheels of different diameter.

Robot with manipulator.

Students will know more about the remote controlled robots at this lesson. They will create the tracked robot with manipulator and write the program for control it. The new Infrared sensor operating mode is discussed in the lesson.

Tracked robot.

At the previous lessons students has investigated the movements of the wheeled robots. But the tracked robots has some advantages that makes them indispensable. That's why we propose to explore the movements of the tracked robots and to find the conditions which allows to program the accurate movements of the robots.

Car chassis robot.

The car chassis robots has some features that must be investigated by the students. They will program the remote control for such robot with automatic steering wheels centering.

Exit from labyrinth.

The one Touch sensor allows to build and program simple robot for maze solving. Students will combine the data from the motors' encoders and touch sensor for programming the algorithm.

Space station.

On the sample of old Tic-tac-toe game we propose students to understand deeper the using of MyBlocks for quick programming. They will create the robot for delivery the marks to the cells on the playfield. The every trajectory will be programmed by using the specially written MyBlock that makes simple actions.

Robot loader and “Beacon” mode.

The controlling only of two motors in the basic remote control is the limitation that may be bypassed. We propose students to programm the Time Division Controlling of the robot's chassis and the manipulator.

Robot for retro games.

The most of children likes a games. We propose to create the robot for playing the old games like a Pong. The encoders' data are used for creating the full-functional joystick.
